Lego Harry Potter: Years 1 – 4 Microreview – 18/20!
Lego Harry Potter: Years 1- 4 was a cute rendition of the Harry Potter world that I would love to experience on a bigger screen than my iPhone. The mobile controls were easy enough to learn, but I wasn’t interested in replaying each level over again once I’d learned new spells or earned new characters, to complete the game with 100%.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Microreview – 20/20!
This game is fantastic! I had my reservations about the first two games due to their grim and unappealing nature, but this game improved upon everything I had to complain about. Some may be daunted by the sheer size and length, but I promise it is fun to play and gorgeous to look at.

Much, much better than the first game in more ways than one! There is still a very grim and corrupt overtone set within the plot that’s a theme among Witcher games, but the graphic design (primarily the lighting) lifted the atmosphere from oppressive to enjoyable.

One of the drawbacks of my fascination with playing games in chronological order is that sometimes, the first games are a little older and a little less enjoyable. I gleaned what story details I could, but the grim design and tone did not endear this game to me. It took me two tries before I could play all the way through and finish it.
